Warner Bros. Pictures J. EDGAR was the Opening Night Gala of the AFI FEST 2011 presented by Audi. Clint Eastwood directed J. EDGAR from a screenplay by Dustin Lance Black and stars Leonardo DiCaprio in title role.
The film explores the personal and public life and relationships of a man who could distort the truth. For almost 50 years J. EDGAR was the face of law enforcement in America, but he was often swayed by the dark side of power that could of destroyed his image, his career and his life.
AFI is celebrating its 25th year as a program of the American Film Institute. Each year they offer free tickets, patron passes and festival passes. For additional information about the AFI FEST check out AFI.com/AFIFEST.
