Tri Star Pictures and ,held the Los Angeles World Premiere of SOUL SURFER at the ArcLight Cinerama Dome on March 30th.
The carpet and backdrop was blue like the ocean with a spot that had sand and surfboards. SOUL SURFER is the true story of teen surfer Bethany Hamilton (portrayed by AnnaSophia Robb), who lost her arm in a shark attack. Her horrific story was covered by news media worldwide, but through her determination and faith this amazing girl became a champion once again and beat all odds that were against her.
Walking the carpet were the stars of the film, which included: Bethany Hamilton (author SOUL SURFER), AnnaSophia Robb, Chris Brochu, Sonya Balmores Chung, Kevin Sorbo, Ross Thomas, Cody Gomes-Keoki, Jeremy Sumpter, Carrie Underwood, Christie Brook, Helen Hunt, Lorraine Nicholson, Dennis Quaid, Tiffany Hofstetter, Sean McNamara (Director/Co-Writer), and Christina Lambert (Co-Producer).
Joining them were guests, which included: Nick Roux, Hayley Kiyoko, Doug Brochu, Gregg Sulkin, Hilary Duff, Christopher Atkins, Bailee Madison, Joe Jonas, Hannah Cornett, Michael Nardelli, Sandra Taylor, Jimmy Bennett, Alexander Ludwig, Geoff Stults and Sam Jenkins (Kevin Sorbo’s wife).
SOUL SURFER opens nationwide April 8th.
