Exclusive Photos: RANGO – Los Angeles premiere

Paramount Pictures held the Los Angeles Premiere of RANGO on February 14 at the Regency Village Theater in Westwood, CA.

Fans were everywhere and when Johnny Depp arrived the screams were deafening. Johnny took the time to go to each section and sign as many autographs as he could.

The carpet was a sand color to match an “Old West” theme that was the backgrounds that ran the carpet.

RANGO is from the director of THE PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN, Gore Verbinski, and features Depp in an original animated comedy-adventure that takes place in the Wild West. The story follows the journey of Rango (Depp), a sheltered chameleon living as an ordinary family pet. When Rango accidentally winds up in the gritty, gun-slinging town of Dirt – a lawless outpost populated by the desert’s most wily and whimsical creatures, the less-than-courageous lizard suddenly finds he stands out. Rango is welcomed as the last hope the town has, as they have been waiting for a new Sheriff, and Rango is forced to play this new role. In a blaze of action-packed situations and encounters with outrageous characters, Rango starts to become the hero he once only pretended to be.

The interesting part is that the actors portraying the characters actually acted and the animated characters and the movements were created from them, instead of just doing voice-overs.

Walking the carpet were the stars of the film, which included: Johnny Depp, Isla Fisher, Abigail Breslin, Harry Dean Stanton, Stephen Root, Timothy Olyphant, Gil Birmingham, Alanna Ubach, Hans Zimmer (Composer), Gore Verbinski (Director/Producer), and John B. Carls (Producer).

Joining the stars were guests, which included: Gracie Dzienny, Ryan Potter, Ciara Bravo, Sammi Hanratty, Danielle Hanratty, Jillian Clare, Stefanie Scott, Peyton List, Spencer List, Ryan Ochoa, Robbie Amell, Italia Ricci, Noah Munck, Samantha Droke, Elizabeth Gracen, Amy Yasbeck, Gage Golightly, Brad Grey, Sumner Redstone, Jennette McCurdy, Kym Whitley, Carlos Knight and Vanessa Branch.

RANGO opens in theaters March 4th
