Director Nick Copus seems to have picked up on some thematic similarities with 28 DAYS LATER/28 […]Read On »

Marvel Studios and Paramount Pictures held the World Premiere of CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER at the El Capitan Theater on July 19th. The carpet was red and white, and at the end of the carpet before the stars of the film and guests walked into the theater was the CAPTAIN AMERICA shield. The premiere was sponsored by Harley-Davidson, and where I was they had a white Harley that the stars autographed when they walked on the carpet.  In the film, CAPTAIN AMERICA rides a Harley-Davidson WLA motorcycle.  Also sponsoring was Baskin-Robbins and Dunkin’ Donuts. CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER […]Read On »

Stars: Eddie McClintock, Joanne Kelly, Saul Rubinek, Genelle Williams, Allison Scagliotti, Aaron Ashmore, Jaime Murray, Ashley Williams Writer: Holly Harold Director: Jeremiah S. Chechik Network: Syfy, Mondays @ 9 PM Airdate: July 25, 2011 As with last week, WAREHOUSE 13 is really shaping up nicely this season. The larger cast of Warehouse employees allows the writers to have a lot more story in one episode, and to show more sides of the characters we already know and love. Which is ironic since this week’s episode is called “Love Sick.” Myka (Joanne Kelly) and Pete (Eddie McClintock) find themselves in bed […]Read On »

TV Review: LEVERAGE – Season 4 – “The Hot Potato Job”

Gina Bellman and Christian Kane in LEVERAGE - Season 4 - "The Hot Potato Job" | ©2011 TNT/Erik Heinila

Stars: Timothy Hutton, Gina Bellman, Aldis Hodge, Christian Kane, Beth Riesgraf, Mitch Pileggi, Bhanna Peget Writer: Jenn Kao, series created by John Rogers & Chris Downey Director: John Harrison Network: TNT, Sundays @ 9 PM Airdate: July 24, 2011 LEVERAGE’s “The Hot Potato Job” is decent enough – it literally involves a stolen (i.e., hot) potato, so points up front for a good title, as well as smart casting in employing Mitch Pileggi as the big bad of the week. However, given that this is the episode where team leader Nathan (Timothy Hutton) and longtime unconsummated/then consummated-but-pretending-it’s-no-big-deal love interest Sophie […]Read On »
