One of the fall season’s biggest success stories has been the Tom Selleck CBS drama BLUE BLOODS bringing in the ratings at 10:00 pm on Friday nights – a night that is generally known as the death slot for other networks.

With the show doing so well, CBS will be airing new episodes of BLUE BLOODS for a handful of weeks on Wednesday nights to see how it does in the slot and at today’s CBS Winter TCA press day in Pasadena, CA, CBS Entertainment President Nina Tassler addressed the temporary move.

“The show has done incredibly well, and we want to look at how it does on Wednesday,” says Tassler. “We hope it continues to hold its numbers because it has done so well on Friday.  I don’t know how it’s going to do, but we wanted to take a look at it on Wednesday. That’s one of the opportunities coming to us, after an incredibly successful fall and it allows us to move some things around. The scheduling moves this fall helped all of our time periods.”
