The finals for AMERICA’S GOT TALENT have begun! Ten acts performed on AGT tonight hoping to fill the four slots that will move on to the season finale next week. Those four will have a chance at one million dollars and a head lining show in Las Vegas. That winner will be announced next week on Wednesday September 14th. First, which four will get their shot at the ultimate award?
Shockingly, Piers Morgan could not contain himself from slapping down on the red buzzer even in the finals! His expectations are high for the finals and he wont let anyone disappoint him without being heard. Morgan buzzed the Miami All-Stars for being too much like cheerleaders and West Springfield Dance Team for pretty much being boring.
Even though it’s not the official season finale, last year’s winner Michael Grimm, who is now touring with Stevie Nicks, performed tonight in between acts. Although the judges were clearly impressed with Grimm again they were clearly unimpressed with at least half of the acts competing. However, their votes do not count this time around. America will pick all four final acts this week.
This time four acts did stand out all on their own…well, maybe five – I am thinking of you Landon Swank as the possible fifth choice. The other five were left in the dust. But, only four can make it. Who will it be?
Miami All-Stars (dance group)
Morgan: X You became a cheerleading act!
Osbourne: I’m not in love with the theme of it.
Mandel: I think you took the “Miami” out of the all stars.
Harland: They are in it to win it. They threw everything into their act but the kitchen sink!
Chances of getting through: Slim
Lys Agnes (singer)
Morgan: In my view, you were in perfect pitch.
Osbourne: Why did you sing that song in such a low registry?
Mandel: You took a risk, it might have been too big a risk.
Harland: She showed a different side of her usual operatic voice, didn’t really like it.
Chances of getting through: Slim
Landon Swank (illusionist)
Morgan: I’m not quite sure what I just watched.
Osbourne: I love the relaxed presentation that you always give.
Mandel: You are a conjurer.
Harland: Not quite enough for me.
Chances of getting through: Good
Anna Graceman (singer)
Morgan: You have an extraordinary voice.
Osbourne: I love the song choice.
Mandel: This wasn’t as good as your last.
Harland: It wasn’t that exciting this time around.
Chances of getting through: Good
Silhouette (dance troupe)
Morgan: You tell us a story that lifts the heart.
Osbourne: Oh my goodness me!
Mandel: This is definitely the “first” final act. You should definitely be in the final four!
Harland: Awesome! My fav! Amazing! What more can I say?
Chances of getting through: Great
Smage Bros. Riding Show (bike stunt team)
Morgan: Chaps, as usual it was very exciting but a little disappointing.
Osbourne: I thought it was just as exciting.
Mandel: Wisconsin is now famous for beer & cheese and Smage!
Harland: They’re good but when you’ve seen them once you’ve seen them enough. Plus, they made mistakes, nicking one of their own in the leg and head!
Chances of getting through: Slim
PopLyfe (rock band)
Morgan: That did deserve a standing ovation.
Osbourne: You are loved!
Mandel: Put these people through America!
Harland: Very, very good, they keep getting better and better.
Chances of getting through: Great
West Springfield Dance Team (dancers)
Morgan: X I would have surprised us.
Osbourne: Too predictable for me now
Mandel: I don’t think it was stepped up from the last time.
Harland: Not enough dancing, little movement at all
Chances of getting through: Slim
Landau Eugene Murphy, Jr. (singer)
Morgan: You got your mojo back.
Osbourne: You are one hell of a class act
Mandel: You, again, are amazing!
Harland: I just love hearing him sing…smooooth!
Chances of getting through: Great
Team Iluminate (florescent dance group)
Morgan: You guys are the icing on the cake!
Osbourne: I cannot believe you guys aren’t already world famous!
Mandel: You were spectacular!
Harland: Innovative and definitely something you’d see in Vegas!
Chances of getting through: Great
That’s it. Four acts move on to the ultimate AGT finals next week. The most likely of the 10 to move forward will be Silhouettes, Landau Eugene Murphy, Jr., Team Ilmunate and Poplyfe. Stay tuned!
