Twelve acts saved by the three judges Piers Morgan, Sharon Osbourne and Howie Mandel on AMERICA’S GOT TALENT get a second shot at the semi-finals this week. Each judge brought back three acts they felt deserved another chance to woo audiences. Ultimately, four of them will join the others in the semi finals.
Although, it’s not clear if Mandel just brought back the acts that most irritated Morgan (Those Funny Little People in particular) or not, certainly the judges have differing opinions about who should get a do over and who should have never been invited back.
Still, all seemed grateful to perform again and now America will decide who picked the right acts and who wasted their time. Funny enough, three out of the four acts that Morgan buzzed tonight were Mandel’s picks. Coincidence? I think not.
The Kinetic King (novelty act)
Brought back by Piers Morgan
Morgan: You proved you’re the king!
Osbourne: I bow down to you my king.
Mandel: Only one man in America can do that.
Harland: It WORKED!
Chances of getting through: Good
Those Funny Little People (novelty act)
Brought back by Howie Mandel
Morgan: X It’s just not what this show is about.
Osbourne: You brought in the big guns.
Mandel: A lot of acts cannot elicit that kind of emotion. (referring to the anger on Morgan’s face)
Harland: There is something innately entertaining about them.
Chances of getting through: Slim
Avery & The Calico Hearts (little girls singing group)
Brought back by Sharon Osbourne
Morgan: X I don’t think you can win.
Osbourne: You make me smile.
Mandel: I don’t think they deserve a buzz.
Harland: Sweet and talented, but just not ready for this competition.
Chances of getting through: Slim
Seth Grabel (illusionist)
Brought back by Howie Mandel
Morgan: A lot of show but lacking in content
Osbourne: You’ve got my vote.
Mandel: I think I did good by bringing you back.
Harland: Is it weird that I completely agree with Morgan?
Chances of getting through: Good
Shevonne (singer)
Brought back by Sharon Osbourne
Morgan: I find myself agreeing with Howie Mandel.
Osbourne: You took my breath away.
Mandel: I think we made a mistake in letting you go.
Harland: She sings well, has a great style and look about her, but not sure she is good enough.
Chances of getting through: Good
West Springfield Dance Team (dance act)
Brought back by Sharon Osbourne
Morgan: I am agreeing with Howie again, I must be sick.
Osbourne: I loved your music choice.
Mandel: I don’t know that this performance stepped up from the last performance.
Harland: Zombie dancing…creepily good.
Chances of getting through: Good
J. Chris Newberg (comedian)
Brought back by Howie Mandel
Morgan: X I found your material completely inaccurate and funny.
Osbourne: You’ve got balls of steel.
Mandel: I am so proud I brought you back.
Harland: Roasting Morgan may not be a good idea but even worse…it wasn’t funny!
Chances of getting through: Good
Yellow Designs Stunt Team (BMX act)
Brought back by Sharon Osbourne
Morgan: Right at the heart of it are these crazy stunts.
Osbourne: It worked superbly.
Mandel: It’s not just BMXing.
Harland: Very good but once you’ve seen it, well, you’ve seen it all.
Chances of getting through: Good
Charles Peachock (juggler)
Brought back by Piers Morgan
Morgan: I think you blew it.
Osbourne: I feel bad for you.
Mandel: I’m sorry that happened.
Harland: He failed – he dropped a sword while juggling – that’s it – game over.
Chances of getting through: Slim
The Fiddleheads (blue grass band)
Brought back by Howie Mandel
Morgan: X This group does not work as a group.
Osbourne: I felt you were back in your comfort zone.
Mandel: I think tonight you brought it.
Harland: It’s all about musical preference…I prefer not to listen to the Fiddleheads.
Chances of getting through: Good
Summerwind Skippers (jump rope stunt act)
Brought back by Piers Morgan
Morgan: Great job
Osbourne: You just made a show out of skipping.
Mandel: Tonight you changed my mind.
Harland: They screwed up – the end.
Chances of getting through: Good
Landon Swank (illusionist)
Brought back by Piers Morgan
Morgan: That’s a proper trick!
Osbourne: That’s what’s what I call sexy!
Mandel: It was fabulous.
Harland: He deserves to move on!
Chances of getting through: Great
Tomorrow night, four Wild Cards will join the other semi-finalists. Looks like Landon Swank, Shevonne, Yellow Designs Stunt Team and maybe J. Chris Newberg have the best chances of moving on but this week is the hardest to pick. No one blew the roof off the place. We’ll see what America thinks! Stay tuned!
