It was go-home time on the world’s greatest karaoke competition, AMERICAN IDOL, as once again someone gets the boot.
As you know by now, Heejun Han got eliminated with Hollie Cavanaugh and Skylar Laine in the bottom three.
I’ll break down how it happened in terms of the elimination as usual with the benefit of you not having to sit through another lame Ford commercial, footage of the contestants moving into the mansion (although Skylar’s reactions were priceless given her hillbilly roots), a performance from Scotty McCreery (although that thing he does with the mic still bugs the crap out of me), a pimping of the upcoming Aerosmith tour and an odd performance from Nicki Minaj.
Phillip Phillips, Hollie Cavanaugh and Elise Testone were first to be called to judgment. Hollie is in the bottom three. Phillip is safe. Elise is also safe.
Next, Colton Dixon, Heejun Han and Joshua Ledet were called on stage. Colton is safe. Joshua is safe meaning Heejun is also in the bottom.
Finally, Skylar Laine, DeAndre Brackensick and Jessica Sanchez. Jesus, seeing DeAndre perform again, I just don’t see what the judges see because it’s cringe-inducing. Jessica is safe. Skylar is in the bottom and DeAndre is safe. Hey, I get the hillbilly is a bit polarizing, but come one she’s 20 times better than mop-top.
The bottom three take the stage and Skylar is safe already. Hollie is also safe and Heejun is sent packing.
