The usually private and reserved Clint Eastwood is letting his family take a little dip into reality television with the new E! series MRS. EASTWOOD AND COMPANY which debuts May 20.
At today’s NBCUniversal Summer Press Day 2012, Dina Eastwood clarified her husband’s position on the series which follows Mrs. Eastwood, her two daughters Fracensca and Morgan and the a cappella group Overtone which Dina discovered in South Africa and is now manager of.
“[Clint] volunteered to be in a couple of episodes to show what kind of relationship we do have and that will be enough,” says Dina Eastwood. “If people tune in because they’re Clint Eastwood lovers, they will be disappointed. The rest of the show is about the rest of the family, the band and the music.”
The other thing Mrs. Eastwood points out is that this series is not about the salacious activities of the family either, but more about “the music, me being a haggard mom and raising two teenagers.”
“I felt there is no illegal activity going on,” says Mrs. Eastwood. “I was not worried shooting our day to day existence. I have faith in my kids. It’s not going to be an illegal trainwreck they have to edit out.”
