Disney•Pixar held the World Premiere of BRAVE, part of the Los Angeles Film Festival at the Grand Opening of the Dolby Theatre (formally Kodak Theatre) in Hollywood on June 18th. VisitScotland sponsored the premiere.
Everything was green like the hills of Scotland! The Director, Mark Andrews showed up wearing a kilt. Bag Pipers came down the carpet playing, which was really cool! Fans lined the street. Red curly wigs were handed out to a few photographers who posed with Kelly Macdonald (I was one, but sorry no picture). Kevin Nealon wore one of the wigs as he walked the carpet. It was a fun premiere!
BRAVE is a story of one girl, Merida (voiced by Kelly Macdonald) who can do it all. She is a skilled archer and the headstrong daughter of King Fergus (voiced by Billy Connolly who unfortunately did not attend the premiere).
Walking the carpet were the stars of the film, which included: Kelly Macdonald, Kevin McKidd, Craig Ferguson, John Ratzenberger, Peigi Barker, Mark Andrews (Director/Screenwriter), Katherine Sarafian (Executive Producer), John Lasseter (Executive Producer/Pixar Animation Studios Chief Creation Officer), Patrick Doyle (Composer) and Brenda Chapman (Director/Screenwriter).
Joining them were guests, which included: Enrico Casarosa (Director of LA LUNA), Joey King, Caroline Sunshine, Kailey Swanson, Bella Thorne, Haley Pullos, India de Beaufort, Ken Baumann, Poppy Montgomery, Janel Parrish, Bradley Steven Perry, Jason Dolley, Mike Mignola, Mike Cantlay (from VisitScotland.org), Taylor Spreitler, Peyton List, Alison Sweeney, Geno Segers, Angela Kinsey, Shantiel Vazquez, Katie Leclerc, Keegan Allen, Skai Jackson, Reggie Miller, Aubrey Anderson-Emmons, Joell Posey, Megan Park, Chris Harrison, Robert Iger (President Walt Disney Company), Francia Raisa, Ryan Ochoa, Sean McManus, Molly Ringwald, Kevin Nealon, Susan Yeagley, Scott Hamilton, Allison Janney, Megyn Price, Randy Newman, Alex Salmond (First Minister of Scotland), Garcel Beauvais, Ming-Na, Marcia Gay Harden, and Vanessa Bryant.
