Hugh Jackman was honored on December 13^th with 2,487^th Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in the Category of Motion Pictures.

Hugh Jackman was thrilled by the ceremony and after being introduced by Leron Gubler (Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, President/CEO) who spoke about Jackman’s film and stage career, Gubler then introduced Jay Leno who was the guest speaker for the day. Hugh Jackman was joined by his wife Deborra-Lee Furness, his children Ava and Oscar. Other guest included Ron Meyer (President CEO Universal), James Gianopulos (Chairman FOX Studios), Jeffrey Katzenberg (DreamWorks) and his co-stars from LES MISERABLES – Anne Hathaway, Amanda Seyfried and Director Tom Hooper.

Jackman spoke about his life, being the youngest of five and how he met his wife. He thanked his many fans that showed up that day. He told his children that if they ever get mad at him that they can come to the star and jump on it, spit on it to take out their frustrations. This made everyone laugh!

Jackman’s star is located in front of Madame Tussauds Hollywood, where his wax figure depicting him as Wolverine is on display and also is not far from the Grauman’s Chinese Theatre where he also has his hand and footprints in cement.
