CBS Films held the U.S. Premiere of SALMON FISHING IN THE YEMEN on Monday 5th, at the Directors Guild of American.
SALMON FISHING IN THE YEMEN is the story about a visionary sheik (Amr Waked) that has a dream to bring salmon fishing to the desert. Instructing his representative Harriet (Emily Blunt) to make his dream come true. Ewan McGregor portrays Dr. Alfred Jones, a leading Fisheries expert. Unfortunately, he happens to think the project is absurd and unachievable. Enter the Prime Minister’s overzealous press secretary (Kristin Scott Thomas) who decides that this will make a “good will” story.
It was a small, intimate premiere; seen walking into the theater was Simon Beaufoy (Screenwriter), Emily Blunt and Ewan McGregor.
Joining them was Jamie Chung, Ben Kurland, Sumner Redstone (Viacom Chairman) and Les Moonves (President and CEO CBS Corp.)
