Walter Koenig recently got the 2,479th Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in the Category of Television. Walter’s star is located at 6679 Hollywood Boulevard in front of the Board Walk Restaurant and near the star of George Takei.
Opening the ceremony was Leron Gubler, President/CEO of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, who spoke about Walter to a crowd of fans and press that attended the ceremony. Speaking at the Ceremony was Esther Shapiro, Leonard Nimoy and J. Michael Straczynski and in the audience was Nichelle Nichols, George Takei, Eugene “Rod” Roddenberry Jr., Garret Wang, Tim Russ, Chase Masterson and Herb Jefferson Jr.
When Leron Gubler presented Walter with his Resolution from the City of Los Angeles, it was funny as Walter noticed that they had spelled his name wrong! (see photo) Leron said not to worry that the Star had the correct spelling!
It really was a nice ceremony and you could see that Walter was thrilled!
