When CBS announced its Fall 2012, one notable series was absence – the freshman procedural series UNFORGETTABLE.
However, a deal was recently struck for the series to return in the Summer 2013 for a second season and CBS Entertainment President Nina Tassler spoke about the summer pick-up at today’s Summer 2012 TCA CBS Press Tour.
“It was a tough decision and we had a strong schedule and strong pilots, but he had strong research on the show,” explains Tassler. “We saw this as an opportunity to put it on for next season.”
While ratings for summer shows are different from in-season shows, Tassler says they haven’t discussed what will be necessary for the show to be considered a success in order for it to return beyond next summer.
“I can’t predict what our expectations will be next summer,” says Tassler. “It did perform well this season, and while I’m not good at predicting, I think it will fare well next summer.”
