Just call it DANCING WITH THE STARS : Starring Derek Hough! For the fifth time Hough has managed to bring his partner all the way. This time, Amber Riley was his dancing protege as she earned the title of DWTS: Season 17 champ. From the get go, Riley proved herself to be a worthy front runner, although she had a couple of rough weeks, she always maintained a certain level of excellence throughout the season. Corbin Bleu & Karina Smirnoff came in second, although some felt Bleu was going to be the one to beat. Jack Osbourne & Cheryl Burke finished the season in third.
What cinched the deal for Riley & Hough was the fusion dances they performed for the judges right before they were announced as the winners. They landed a perfect 30 while Bleu & Smirnoff and Orbourne & Burke both landed 27.
DWTS: Season 18 begins in March.

Len Goodman called him a fantastic dancer. Bruno Tonioli said his lines were excellent. Carrie Ann Inaba told him he lost timing.

Inaba said he was a hair flat footed. Tonioli said his timing was very good. Goodman said he has only gotten better and better.
