The Paley Center for Media presented opening night of the 30th Annual PaleyFest: The William S. Paley Television Festival on March 1st.. The hit television show THE WALKING DEAD opened the festival.
The PaleyFest is an annual event and each year showcases top current television shows, and shows from the past. Attending the event are the casts and creators of the shows. After going through the press tent getting their pictures taken and talking to the numerous electronic press, they are escorted into the theatre. For the last couple of years the PaleyFest has been held at the Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills.
Fans line up early in the morning in hopes that they get the seats closest to the stage. They are treated to an airing of a current episode of the show and then a Q&A with the stars and the creators. It’s a fans dream come true!
Walking into the press tent to enjoy an evening with the fans was: Andrew Lincoln, Norman Reedus, Laurie Holden, Steven Yeun, Danai Gurira, Scott Wilson, Emily Kinney, Executive Producers – Robert Kirkman, Gale Ann Hurd, David Alpert and Greg Nicotero, and Chris Hardwick the Moderator for the night.
Pat Mitchell, President and CEO of The Paley Center for Media joined the stars for this special night.
The PaleyFest runs through March 15th. For information check out the Festival’s website PaleyFest.org.
