DANCING WITH THE STARS:Season 21 kicked off tonight with hits, misses and… Gary Busey, need I say more. Well, I will anyway. Thirteen couples graced the dance floor tonight for the season premiere episode and from Paula Deen’s soiled pants reference to Gary Busey’s unintelligible lingo we saw a variety of the good, the bad and the talented. Sweet Bindi Irwin stole one of the highlights for her own as she kicked her way effortlessly through her debut dance the Jive. Her enthusiasm is contagious and her charm, impossible to resist. She and partner Derek Hough tied for first place with boy/man bander Nick Carter and Sharna Burgess. Also showing a lot of potential is army soldier turned hero Alek Skarlatos and his partner Lindsey Arnold along with Tamar Braxton and Val Chmerkovskiy. On the bottom of the dance board is REAL HOUSEWIFE Kim Zolciak and poor Tony Dovolani, who always gets gyped when the producers pair up the pros/celebs. There’s always next year Tony. Stay Tuned.

Obviously she has got some talent. Julianne Hough thought there was a good connection between her and Mark Ballas. Carrie Ann Inaba said she was sensual and strong in the Jive. Bruno Tonioli said she was hot and sexy.

Kim Zolciak (reality star) and her partner Tony Dovolani
Way too nervous to perform. Inaba told her she needs to go for it. Hough said her Salsa was in slow motion. Tonioli said she must deliver next time.

Carlos PenaVega (singer) and his partner Witney Carson
Lots of energy and effort. Tonioli called his Jive a great performance. Hough said he is the most natural of the contestants. Inaba said his musicality is off the charts.

Hayes Grier (social media star) and his partner Emma Slater
Potential. Inaba said he was fun to watch. Hough said he needs to focus on his core. Tonioli called him the boy wonder in his Cha Cha Cha.

He’s got a real shot at winning! Inaba called his Cha Cha Cha excellent. Tonioli said he will be back. Hough said he was on and sometimes off.

Chaka Khan (music legend) and her partner Keo Motsepe
She forgot too much of the dance. Inaba told her respectfully to remember next week. Tonioli told her to work on her timing and technique. Hough said fill your space in your Cha Cha Cha.

So graceful. Inaba said he was a good student. Tonioli said he was born for the ballroom. Hough said his Foxtrot was the surprise of the night.

Great start – adorable. Inaba said she was a superstar. Hough called her Jive the best of the night. Tonioli said she was the wonder from down under.

Tamar Braxton (singer/host/producer) and her partner Valentin Chmerkovskiy
Lots of energy. Inaba said she blew her away. Hough told her to keep her framework back. Tonioli called her Quickstep high class.

Paula Deen (TV host) and her partner Louis van Amstel
Entertaining. Inaba told her to get into her hold more. Hough said to move on from this Quickstep. Tonioli told her to relax.

Gary Busey (actor)  and his partner Anna Trebunskaya
Sooo bad, it’s entertaining. Inaba said he gave it his all in his Cha Cha Cha. Hough said he stole her heart. Tonioli said there was mayhem.

Andy Grammer (singer) and his partner Allison Holker
Nice debut. Inaba said to work on his connection with Allison Holker. Hough said she loved his Foxtrot. Tonioli said to be careful with your footwork.

Victor Espinoza (jockey) and his partner Karina Smirnoff
Hunched like a jockey. Inaba said he horsed it up in his Salsa. Hough said it was fun. Tonioli said he needs to move a bit more.
