DANCING WITH THE STARS: S23 had its first double elimination tonight and to no surprise Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds & Allison Holker were voted out first, then Vanilla Ice & Witney Carson got the boot. But the bigger, and more surprising, news came when host Tom Bergeron handed over the stage to Sasha Farber and girlfriend, fellow pro dancer Emma Slater. They just finished performing for the commercial break as Bergeron walked out onto the stage and said he was handing over hosting duties to Farber. Farber took his beloved into his arms and told her how much he loved her and then, you guessed it, got down on one knee and asked for her hand in marriage. She said “Yes!” and the crowd erupted while colorful, confetti strands fell from the ceiling.
It was a touching moment that left everyone in tears, especially Farber & Slater. Thankfully, Farber & partner Terra Jole were safe from elimination or it could have put a damper on the lovely evening. Nine couples are left, stay tuned.
