TORCHWOOD: MIRACLE DAY, the latest miniseries of the world-saving adventures of Captain Jack Harkness (John Barrowman), premieres Friday on Starz, in a co-production with the BBC. Bill Pullman plays antagonist Oswald Danes. This is far from the New York-born Pullman’s first foray into genre – one of his first film roles was starring in Wes Craven’s voodoo horror movie THE SERPENT AND THE RAINBOW, and he went on to play the U.S. president in INDEPENDENCE DAY – but this is one of the actors few forays into series television. Starz has been making some noise with SPARTACUS and the forthcoming CAMELOT TV series, but geeks are even more excited about seeing their new TORCHWOOD: MIRACLE DAY series which brings the BBC series to the U.S. and they just released a brand new poster for the series (check it below). At today’s Winter TCA session for Starz, some cool new TORCHWOOD news was announced. According to executive producer and creator Russell T Davies, the new title will be TORCHWOOD: MIRACLE DAY and reveals what the premise will be in Season Four. “The premise is a miracle that happens on earth,” says Davies. “Not a single person on earth, no one dies.
