Los Angeles is well known for a being a city of clashing cultures and this years LA Film Festival found its opening night film competing with the aftermath of the LA King hockey championship celebration. TCA News: PBS says expect ENDEAVOUR, the INSPECTOR MORSE movie prequel, to become a regular series

The popular British detective series INSPECTOR MORSE has been transformed into a one-off TV movie prequel called ENDEAVOUR and is based on Colin Dexter’s novels. The movie has already made its debut in the U.K. on ITV and has proven quite successful. This co-production with the PBS (which will air it this summer on MASTERPIECE MYSTERY!) has already provided talk that a TV series might follow. PBS kicked off the Winter 2012 Television Critics Association this week with its executive session with President and CEO Paula Kerger. One of the most underrated 1980s comedies is DINER, the writer-directorial debut of Barry Levinson and tonight LACMA is sponsoring a special screening in Los Angeles tonight, December 1, at 7:30.
