Breaking News: Ridley Scott says PROMETHEUS sequels a possibility (Wondercon 2012)

With THE AVENGERS set to hit theaters on May 4 featuring Marvel’s greatest heroes together in one movie, the marketing machine is kicking into high gear with six brand new posters from the film. Each one displays two heroes per poster, giving us some major action with established players Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Captain America (Chris Evans), Iron Man aka Tony Stark (Robert Downey, Jr.), Nick Fury (Samuel L. After major delays to the long-awaited reboot of THE LONE RANGER franchise, Walt Disney Pictures just released this cool new image from the Gore Verbinski directed film. Armie Hammer (THE SOCIAL NETWORK) plays John Reid, the masked man, while Johnny Depp is his sidekick Tonto. Should be interesting to see how this turns out. Tim Burton’s latest stop motion film follow A NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS and THE CORPSE BRIDE is actually a blast from the past. FRANKENWEENIE is a black and white stop-motion film based on the live action Disney short he did in 1984 before he hit it big with PEE-WEE’S BIG ADVENTURE and BEETLEJUICE. The first FRANKENWEENIE trailer has finally made its debut, and you can check it out below. The film arrives October 5 and features the voices of Winona Ryder, Martin Short and Catherine O’Hara. Walt Disney released the current trailer to their big March 8 fantasy film JOHN CARTER. It’s directed by Pixar alum Andrew Stanton and it’s really shaping up to look like an epic film mixing STAR WARS (the prequel trilogy) mixed with LORD OF THE RINGS. Yes, it’s time for Marvel’s team of superheroes to assemble as THE AVENGERS Extended Super Bowl trailer finally hits the web. The movie, which arrives May 4, features Iron Man, The Hulk, Hawkeye, Thor, Captain America, Black Widow and Nick Fury and is written and directed by Joss Whedon. Even though the new trailer doesn’t offer too much more than what we’ve seen previously, it’s still pretty clear this is going to be a must-see movie come May. Breaking News: Kiefer Sutherland says 24 movie will shoot this Spring

Fans of 24 have been waiting patiently for two years for the official greenlight of a movie based on the hit Fox series 24 and at today’s Fox TCA press session to promote his new Fox series TOUCH, Sutherland confirmed that the movie is now on the fast track. “Hopefully we’ll be shooting end of April, beginning of May,” says Sutherland. It’s not much, but it’s exciting to think the clock hasn’t stopped for Jack Bauer. (additional reporting by A.C.
