Lara Pulver has just had the pleasure of working with writer and producer Steven Moffat for his new series of SHERLOCK, which will be airing in the U.S. in May. As so often happens, Mr. Moffat tends to use actors that he likes in other projects that he works on, so the question came to mind that maybe, just maybe, Ms. Pulver would find herself involved with a certain BBC long-running science fiction show called DOCTOR WHO. At today’s TCA session for the FX Network, details were revealed on the second season of the popular comedy WILFRED starring Elijah Wood as Ryan, who may or may not be hallucinating that his girlfriend’s dog Wilfred (Jason Gann) is talking to him and getting him in massive trouble. One of the biggest coups in TV this year comes from HBO that nabbed actor Dustin Hoffman to star in LUCK, the gambling drama created by David Milch and directed by Michael Mann. The big question when TNT announced they were bringing back the iconic 1980s soap opera DALLAS a weekly series, was whether it would continue to mythology previously established or do its own thing. At today’s TCA press day for the FX Network, President & General Manager John Landgraf says the status of the POWERS graphic novel adaptation created by Brian Michael Bendis is still in limbo – though still alive. “We didn’t pick the pilot up,” says Landgraf. “We did a fairly substantial rewrite which would require pretty substantial reshoots of the pilot. We’re in the process of deciding whether to pull the trigger on the reshoots. I adore the underlying property.
