Columbia Pictures and Marvel Entertainment held The World Premiere of THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN at the Regency Village Theatre in Westwood on June 28th. Peter Parker is back, but this time Andrew Garfield assumes the role. This film focuses on an untold story of Peter Parker and how he got to be the person he is today. 2012 Los Angeles Film Festival Wrap Up

Los Angeles is well known for a being a city of clashing cultures and this years LA Film Festival found its opening night film competing with the aftermath of the LA King hockey championship celebration. Paramount’s Insurge Pictures turned Hollywood Boulevard into a concert arena for the Los Angeles Premiere of KATY PERRY: PART OF ME. With a stage built in the middle of the street and the bright pink carpet for Katy Perry and the guests to walk down first before the concert, which was located at the Grauman’s Chinese Theatre. On top of that over 5,000 screaming fans lined the street to hear the concert, and in the Hollywood/Highland complex fans stood on tables and looked out onto the street. MAGIC MIKE makes me think of Chippendale’s, where male strippers dressed in costume and performed for women of all ages, as the patrons screamed and stuffed money into the pants of the strippers…and no men were allowed in! Disney•Pixar held the World Premiere of BRAVE, part of the Los Angeles Film Festival at the Grand Opening of the Dolby Theatre (formally Kodak Theatre) in Hollywood on June 18th. VisitScotland sponsored the premiere. Everything was green like the hills of Scotland! The Director, Mark Andrews showed up wearing a kilt. Bag Pipers came down the carpet playing, which was really cool! Fans lined the street.
