On February 2nd, New Line Cinema held the Los Angeles Premiere of JOURNEY 2: THE MYSTERIOUS ISLAND, a Contrafilm Production at the Grauman’s Chinese Theater in Hollywood. The fans that lined Hollywood Boulevard screamed loudly when Vanessa Hudgens and Dwayne Johnson arrived. Johnson walked across traffic to sign autographs while the press patiently waited for him to come back and walk the carpet. Walt Disney released the current trailer to their big March 8 fantasy film JOHN CARTER. It’s directed by Pixar alum Andrew Stanton and it’s really shaping up to look like an epic film mixing STAR WARS (the prequel trilogy) mixed with LORD OF THE RINGS. Yes, it’s time for Marvel’s team of superheroes to assemble as THE AVENGERS Extended Super Bowl trailer finally hits the web. The movie, which arrives May 4, features Iron Man, The Hulk, Hawkeye, Thor, Captain America, Black Widow and Nick Fury and is written and directed by Joss Whedon. Even though the new trailer doesn’t offer too much more than what we’ve seen previously, it’s still pretty clear this is going to be a must-see movie come May. Lara Pulver is no stranger to genre television viewers. Her roles on BBC America’s ROBIN HOOD, MI-5, and HBO’s TRUE BLOOD have made her a familiar face. On January 26th, THE ESTATE OF MICHAEL JACKSON held a special HAND & FOOTPRINT CEREMONY for THE KING OF POP at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. Hollywood Boulevard was shut down to accommodate the thousands of fans who came to be a part of this special event. Michael Jackson’s three children, Prince, Paris and Blanket used their father’s sequined glove and shoes to make impressions in the cement, and Paris signed Michael’s name, with a heart in the cement, and then adding their own handprints by the shoe imprint.
