Exclusive Interview: SMALLVILLE producers Brian Wayne Peterson and Kelly Souders talk about Season 10

Who would have guessed that SMALLVILLE would have survived 10 years and two networks to live on as the longest running Superman-inspired series on television. From the inspired storytelling that took a young Clark Kent (Tom Welling) and chronicled his formative years before he became Superman, the series has taken many twists and turns, while also telling its own revisionist history of Kryptonians favorite son. As they get closer to the Season 10 series finale, executive producers Brian Wayne Peterson and Kelly Souders spoke with ASSIGNMENT X in this exclusive interview about where SMALLVILLE is going (without getting too spoilery […]Read On »

Walt Disney Pictures held the World Premiere of TRON: LEGACY, presented by NOKIA on December 11th at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood. Warner Bros. Pictures presented the Los Angeles Premiere of YOGI BEAR on December 11th at the Village Theater in Westwood, in Association with Sunswept Entertainment/De Line Pictures Production and Rhythm & Hues. The brown carpet had YOGI BEAR written down the length and the background was decorated like a forest park. Arriving early I got a chance to walk through where the pre-party was to be held. It was set up with rides for the kids, food areas, and logs to sit on … just like Jellystone Park. Everyone is familiar with Yogi Bear and his pal Boo-Boo which are […]Read On »

Paramount Pictures held the Los Angeles Premiere of THE FIGHTER on December 6th at the Grauman’s Theater in Hollywood. As previously reported in the coverage of THE TEMPEST premiere, both were held the same day, and both across the street from each other. Heading over to the THE FIGHTER immediately after THE TEMPEST finished I was lucky not to have missed any of the stars attending THE FIGHTER premiere. THE FIGHTER is a true story of Dicky Ecklund, portrayed by Christian Bale, who was a former boxing hero that squandered his talents and threw away his shot at greatness. His […]Read On »

Exclusive Interview: 24’s Howard Gordon reveals the scoop on the 24 movie (it’s on hold) and talks about his novel GIDEON’S WAR arriving in January – Part 2

Kiefer Sutherland in 24 - Season Eight | ©2010 Fox

It took eight seasons (and one made-for-TV movie) for time to run out for Fox’s venerable and ground-breaking action series 24 which starred Kiefer Sutherland as the tragic anti-hero Jack Bauer. The show took one day, in the life of the sometimes counter-terrorist agent Bauer and dealt with the ups and downs of a major attack on U.S. soil like clockwork every season. The real time conceit was the hook, but it was Sutherland and crackerjack storytelling that kept viewers hooked year after year. With 24 – Season Eight and 24: THE COMPLETE SERIES hitting DVD this week, ASSIGNMENT X […]Read On »

Touchstone Pictures and Miramax Films held the Los Angeles Premiere of THE TEMPEST at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood on December 6th. Across the street at the Grauman’s Chinese Theater was the premiere of Paramount’s THE FIGHTER, so needless to say Hollywood was very busy and the street was closed from Highland to Orange for this special night. This was not the first time that two premieres were held almost at the same time, but it was timed so that after I finished shooting THE TEMPEST, I was able to go over and cover THE FIGHTER. Academy Award-nominated Julie […]Read On »

The Dork Side: A FESTIVUS for the rest of us

JERSEY SHORE | ©2010 MTV

I don’t really celebrate Christmas. I’m not a Grinch or anything. I’m just more a Festivus girl. If you don’t know what Festivus is then … wait, really? You don’t know what Festivus is? If you don’t know then you probably don’t have Internet and you are probably not reading this so I will move along. I have put up my Festivus pole, and I plan to wrestle with the head of the household for the feats of strength. The head of our household is our wiener dog, Homer, so that shouldn’t be too hard. But my favorite part of […]Read On »
