After watching THE X FACTOR host Steve Jones struggle throughout the first season, it became quite clear that Ryan Seacrest is a natural when it comes to handling contestants, overruns and political correctness on AMERICAN IDOL. In this day and age, TV shows aren’t cancelled anymore, they’re just quietly taken off the air with hopes no one will notice. TCA News: There will be no GLEE spin-off next year according to Fox

For awhile, it looked like Fox and GLEE co-creator Ryan Murphy were going to spin-off the show with its graduating characters next season. At today’s Fox TCA press session, Entertainment President Kevin Reilly says those plans have been scrapped. “We are graduating the characters, but Ryan and the guys have come up with a cool idea,” says Reilly. “It’s led to a very interesting idea for something cool to dig into next season.
