TCA 2011: Mike Judge gives the scoop on the new BEAVIS AND BUTT-HEAD MTV series

On October 27, BEAVIS AND BUTT-HEAD returns to MTV and today at the network’s TCA session, creator Mike Judge revealed details about the dim-witted duo’s return. The original 1990s series had the characters (voiced  by Judge) make outrageous comments on music videos, this new version will tackle many of MTV’s TV series like JERSEY SHORE and 16 & PREGNANT, as well as movie reviews, “internet stuff and some UFC fights,” notes Judge. Season 2 of SPARTACUS (dubbed SPARTACUS: VENGEANCE) is a half a year away from debuting, but creator and executive producer Steven S. DeKnight says the new season will outdo things that have already been seen in BLOOD & SAND and GODS OF THE ARENA. While promoting the second official season of SPARTACUS, dubbed SPARTACUS: VENGEANCE (airing in January), Lucy Lawless hinted about how her character of Lucretia survived Season 1. “There is a scar,” says Lawless at the Starz 2011 TCA session today. “ I can’t tell you [how I survived] because the executive producer [Steven S. TCA 2011 News: Mark Wahlberg says ENTOURAGE movie will happen – it’s just a matter of when

At today’s HBO TCA session for the final season of ENTOURAGE, the question of whether a movie will happen based on the popular series was a major topic for discussion. Working on network television is not the easiest thing according to screenwriter Mike White (he previously created the Fox shows CRACKING UP and PASADENA), but it was HBO that has brought him back TV with ENLIGHTENED and now he finally feels he’s getting a chance to do it right.
