ALL AMERICAN, loosely based on the life of professional football player Spencer Paysinger, is now on Mondays in its second season on The CW. In ALL AMERICAN, created by April Blair, Daniel Ezra plays Spencer James, a football star at Crenshaw High School in South Los Angeles who is recruited to play at Beverly Hills High by that institution’s football coach, Billy Baker (Taye Diggs). HBO’s new series WATCHMEN premieres on Sunday, October 20. Developed for television by Damon Lindelof, WATCHMEN is essentially a sequel to Alan Moore’s 1987 graphic novel of the same name (as with other adaptations of his work, Moore has disavowed the TV follow-up). In WATCHMEN, Moore created an alternate history where Nixon never resigned, and costumed superheroes exist but are outlawed.
