Warner Bros. Pictures, in association with Legendary Pictures, A Green Hat Films Production presented the Los Angeles Premiere of THE HANGOVER PART II on May 19th at the Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. Hollywood Boulevard was closed between Highland and Orange to accommodate the fans, and all the press. The “black carpet” had HANGOVER printed on it and where I was standing they had big red letters stating the same. Sony Pictures Classics presented the Los Angeles premiere of MIDNIGHT IN PARIS, a film by Woody Allen on May 18th at The Academy Samuel Goldwyn Theatre in Beverly Hills.  The premiere benefited THE AMERICAN FILM INSTITUTE. MIDNIGHT IN PARIS is a romantic comedy set in Paris. The CW just announced its Fall 2011 schedule (CLICK HERE) and making the cut is THE SECRET CIRCLE from THE VAMPIRE DIARIES executive producer Kevin Williamson. Based on the book series by L.J. Smith (who also created DIARIES), the series follows a normal teenage girl (Brittany Robertson) whose mother dies and she soon finds out the truth that she’s descended from a powerful line of witches. The World Premiere of Disney’s PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: ON STRANGER TIDES was held May 7th at Disneyland in Anaheim, California. This is the second part of our photo coverage. Arriving at Disneyland at 4:00pm the press gathered in the Media Center, which was located inside the Mr. Lincoln’s Theater at the beginning of Main Street. Joe Mantegna was honored with the 2,438th Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on April 29th in the Category of Live Theater. His star will be right next to his favorite actor Errol Flynn and is located in front of Skooby’s at 6654 Hollywood Boulevard. The event started with Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, President/CEO Leron Gubler talking about Mantegna and his career in theater, besides the many movies and TV shows he has appeared in. Legendary actor Peter O’Toole was honored during the 2011 TCM CLASSIC FILM FESTIVAL with a special Hand and Footprints Ceremony in the foyer of the Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, April 30th.  Robert Osborne from Turner Classic Movies introduced O’Toole. O’Toole joins stars from yesteryear and today who have enshrined their hands and feet in cement and are viewed by thousands of tourists each year that come to Hollywood. O’Toole was joined by his family, daughter Kate and son Lorcan, and stars, which included: Rose McGowan, Angelica Huston, Richard Benjamin, Paula Prentiss, Barbara Hershey and Illeana Douglas…and hundreds of fans.

TCM (Turner Classic Movies) kicked off the TCM CLASSIC FILM FESTIVAL 2011 at the Grauman’s Chinese Theater, with an Opening Night Gala and World Premiere of the Newly Restored 1951 film AN AMERICAN IN PARIS, which corresponded with the 60th anniversary of its original release. AN AMERICAN IN PARIS is a colorful musical about a painter finding art and romance in the City of Lights. The movie starred the late Gene Kelly, who passed away in 1996, and Leslie Caron, who attended the gala presentation. Disney held the World Premiere of PROM at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood on April 21st.  Most of the stars and the guests wore prom dresses and tuxedos as they walked the red carpet. The women were given on check-in wrist corsages and the men a label corsage. Disney had requested that the guests bring a gently worn prom or special occasion dress to donate to LA’s Prom Closet, which is a 100% volunteer nonprofit organization dedicated to helping young women in high school attend their senior prom by providing students new and used gowns for FREE.
