Sony Pictures Classics presented the Los Angeles premiere of MIDNIGHT IN PARIS, a film by Woody Allen on May 18th at The Academy Samuel Goldwyn Theatre in Beverly Hills.  The premiere benefited THE AMERICAN FILM INSTITUTE. MIDNIGHT IN PARIS is a romantic comedy set in Paris. The World Premiere of Disney’s PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: ON STRANGER TIDES was held May 7th at Disneyland in Anaheim, California. This is the second part of our photo coverage. Arriving at Disneyland at 4:00pm the press gathered in the Media Center, which was located inside the Mr. Lincoln’s Theater at the beginning of Main Street. Finally, all of the press was escorted out to the “black” carpet to take our spots and wait for the premiere to start. The arrivals were 3 hours long to accommodate all the stars and the guests. TCM (Turner Classic Movies) kicked off the TCM CLASSIC FILM FESTIVAL 2011 at the Grauman’s Chinese Theater, with an Opening Night Gala and World Premiere of the Newly Restored 1951 film AN AMERICAN IN PARIS, which corresponded with the 60th anniversary of its original release. AN AMERICAN IN PARIS is a colorful musical about a painter finding art and romance in the City of Lights. The movie starred the late Gene Kelly, who passed away in 1996, and Leslie Caron, who attended the gala presentation. Disney held the World Premiere of PROM at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood on April 21st.  Most of the stars and the guests wore prom dresses and tuxedos as they walked the red carpet. The women were given on check-in wrist corsages and the men a label corsage. Disney had requested that the guests bring a gently worn prom or special occasion dress to donate to LA’s Prom Closet, which is a 100% volunteer nonprofit organization dedicated to helping young women in high school attend their senior prom by providing students new and used gowns for FREE. Twentieth Century Fox and Blue Sky Studios held the Los Angeles Premiere of RIO at the Grauman’s Mann Chinese Theater on April10th in Hollywood. Back in February, ASSIGNMENT X ran the RIO SNEAK BEAK EVENT (CLICK HERE) that was held on the FOX Studio Lot to announce the tie-in with the movie and ANGRY BIRDS. Tri Star Pictures and ,held the Los Angeles World Premiere of SOUL SURFER at the ArcLight Cinerama Dome on March 30th. The carpet and backdrop was blue like the ocean with a spot that had sand and surfboards.  SOUL SURFER is the true story of teen surfer Bethany Hamilton (portrayed by AnnaSophia Robb), who lost her arm in a shark attack.
