Stars: Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles, Kim Rhodes, Nicholas Lea, Jason Dohring, Melissa Roxburgh, Linda Darlow Writer: Robbie Thompson, series created by Eric Kripke Director: Phil Sgriccia Network: The CW, Fridays @ 9 PM Original Airdate: January 13, 2012 Time travel isn’t exactly new on SUPERNATURAL, but seeing Dean (Jensen Ackles) go all fanboy over the one and only Eliot Ness (Nicholas Lea, who was Alex Krycek on THE X-FILES) puts an entertaining spin on it. “Time After Time” splits its point of view between Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean after the brothers tangle with Chronos (Jason Dohring), God of Time. Thyne, Tamara Taylor, John Francis Daley, Patricia Belcher, Michael Grant Terry, Andrew Leeds, Robert Cicchini Writer: Carla Kettner Director: Ian Toynton Network: Fox, Thursdays @ 8 PM Airdate: January 12, 2012 With “The Crack in the Code,” BONES delivers an intriguingly macabre case at the same time it eases forward the relationship (and housing) negotiations of Brennan (Emily Deschanel) and Booth (David Boreanaz) as the birth of their daughter looms ever closer. When a gore-covered spine and skull are found at the site of a (fictional)Washington,D.C.monument, with the words “Where’s the rest […]Read On »

Kate Beckett (Stana Katic) and crime-solving author dilletant Richard Castle (Nathan Fillion) were going to be facing a serious rift in their good friendship over Castle’s support of his buddy Mayor Robert Weldon (Derek Webster). Nope. Have to take note – this episode was […]Read On »

TV Review: ONCE UPON A TIME – Season 1 – “True North”

Lana Parrilla in ONCE UPON A TIME - Season 1 - True North" | ©2012 ABC/Jack Rowand

Stars: Ginnifer Goodwin, Jennifer Morrison, Robert Carlyle, Lana Parrilla, Jared Gilmore, Josh Dallas, Raphael Sbarge Writer: David H. Goodman and Liz Tigelaar Director: Dean White Network: ABC, Sunday nights, 8 p.m. Original Telecast: January 15, 2012 It seems pretty clear from this episode, “True North,” that Regina’s grip on the modern day world of ONCE UPON A TIME is slipping. Her fairy tale counterpart The Evil Queen (Lana Parilla plays both) isn’t getting all that she wants, either, but she’s got a heck of a lot more power in the fairy tale land. Or maybe she can be more overt about it. As usual, we have a version of a fairy tale […]Read On »

The theme, if you hadn’t guessed from the title is “Yes/No” – which deals with various characters […]Read On »

Just because it was sooo Michael Bay at his explosive finest and sooo over-the-top Sean Connery (and his quotes about doing the prom queen and generous use of expletives) that it makes for a great watch – not to mention batsh** crazy Nicolas Cage. So throughout the two hour season premiere for ALCATRAZ […]Read On »

Stars: Nina Dobrev, Paul Wesley, Ian Somerhalder Writer: Rebecca Sonnenshine, Based on the book by L.J. Smith Director: Wendy Stanzler Network: The CW, airs Thursday nights Original Telecast: January 12, 2012 THE VAMPIRE DIARIES is still one of my favorite guilty pleasures on television. The series is such a soap opera with supernatural elements that you can’t tear yourself away for fear of missing something important (or something tiny that will turn out to be important). “Our Town” continues the power play between Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Stefan (Paul Wesley); each one seeing how they can out maneuver and out […]Read On »
