Allen, Connor Paolo Writer: Dan Dworkin & Jay Beattie Director: Matt Earl Beesley Network: ABC, Wednesday nights, 10 p.m. Original Telecast: January 11, 2012 One of the issues of writing about REVENGE is that we have two characters who have switched names, and in “Infamy,” this becomes an issue. So to minimize confusion, please remember that since Emily Thorne (Emily VanCamp) is usually referred to as Emily even though she is really Amanda Clarke, she will be referred to as Emily throughout. The real Emily Thorne is currently in place as Amanda Clarke (Margarita Levieva), so […]Read On »

Joshua Jackson in FRINGE - Season 4 | ©2011 Fox/Andrew Matusik

The third season of Fox’s science-fiction series FRINGE ended on a cliff-hanger. Our universe and a parallel universe were both eroding due to a recently-discovered phenomenon that had been caused decades ago. The source of the problem was a breach created by Dr. Walter Bishop (John Noble) who, when his son died in this world, brought his parallel-universe son Peter over to this world to save him – and then kept him. The now-adult Peter Bishop, played by Joshua Jackson, put himself into a machine to mend both universes. It worked – but Peter blinked out of existence, and no […]Read On »

While reality show hits seem to wane and wax over the years, ABC Entertainment Group President Paul Lee says he expects DANCING WITH THE STARS to remain on the schedule for years to come. “Obviously each year the casting sometimes tells you where it’s going to come out. Although, I have to say we started with a weaker cast this year, and with J.R. [Martinez] winning it, it was a wonderful storyline,” says Lee. “Look how much THE BACHELOR has lasted and done so strongly for us. It’s romantic. CD Review: 2011’s Best Soundtracks: The Runners-Up and Composers to Watch

SUPER 8 soundtrack | ©2011 Varese Sarabande Records

It was hard to whittle down the year’s best scores to ten top picks, let alone ten runners-up. Here are the best of a close batch of scores that are far more than second-runs, followed up by the budding composers to watch. ALBERT NOBBS (Brian Byrne /, Varese Sarabande) Irish composer Brian Byrne takes up residence in 19th century Dublin for the upstairs/ downstairs cross-dressing-by-necessity of “Albert Nobbs.” While there’s a sprightly, Gaelic-accented classical sound to the happy-go-lucky strings and harpsichord that propels this not-so proper man of the hotel about, Byrne gradually looks behind the confident veneer to discover […]Read On »

Ryan Seacrest in AMERICAN IDOL - Season 10 | ©2011 Fox/Tony Duran

After watching THE X FACTOR host Steve Jones struggle throughout the first season, it became quite clear that Ryan Seacrest is a natural when it comes to handling contestants, overruns and political correctness on AMERICAN IDOL. If Fox has it’s way, they definitely want to keep him in the IDOL fold, […]Read On »
