TCA 2011 News: ABC Family’s THE LYING GAME will be loosely adapted from the Sara Shepard novels

With ABC Family finding success with PRETTY LITTLE LIARS based on the young adult novels by Sara Shepard, the network is now adapting THE LYING GAME to series from the Shepard novels as well about twins (both played by Alexandra Chando ) who discover the other exists and decide to swap lives temporarily with disastrous (and mysterious) results. TCA 2011: Fox talks about the greenlight of COSMOS: A SPACE-TIME ODYSSEY

The last thing anyone would expect the Fox network to do would be a documentary sequel to the hit 1980s PBS/Carl Sagan hosted and produced documentary science series COSMOS, but it’s official – they’ve greenlit it. Titled COSMOS: A SPACE-TIME ODYSSEY, the series will surprisingly be produced by FAMILY GUY creator Seth MacFarlane. TCA 2011: Mike Judge gives the scoop on the new BEAVIS AND BUTT-HEAD MTV series

On October 27, BEAVIS AND BUTT-HEAD returns to MTV and today at the network’s TCA session, creator Mike Judge revealed details about the dim-witted duo’s return. The original 1990s series had the characters (voiced  by Judge) make outrageous comments on music videos, this new version will tackle many of MTV’s TV series like JERSEY SHORE and 16 & PREGNANT, as well as movie reviews, “internet stuff and some UFC fights,” notes Judge. At today’s HBO TCA session for the final season of ENTOURAGE, the question of whether a movie will happen based on the popular series was a major topic for discussion.
