The studios spent tons of money on their big movie commercials during the Super Bowl, and Fox also dropped some serious dough on a new commercial promoting his fall reality singing competition THE X FACTOR. On March 22, 2011, the long awaited LEGO STAR WARS III: THE CLONE WARS video game arrives from LucasArts promising more gameplay and advanced features (it will be available for PS3, PSP, XBOX, Wii, Nintendo DS, PC and Nintendo 3DS). Based on the first two seasons STAR WARS: CLONE WARS animated series, the gameplay may be getting an upgrade, but the grunts remain the same. Clip of the Day: Jim Carrey gets freaky on SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE
SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE has always been hit and miss, but with the usually hilarious Jim Carrey hosting, one only hoped the show would have been better than it was. However, among the mediocrity, there was this deranged, short sketch that got it right. Set in an amusement park ride, it used Carrey (and SNL cast members Taran Killam and Bill Hader) in a weird, nightmarish scenario. The sketch didn’t drag, it wasn’t redundant, it got in, and got out – with tons of laughs. Check it out below to see what we mean:
Cool Clip: REAL STEEL teaser trailer is here plus new stills
No, it’s not a TRANSFORMERS spin-off. Instead REAL STEEL is a crazy new science-fiction action film starring Hugh Jackman who plays a promoter who manages robot vs. robot boxing matches. It sounds crazy, but this thing could actually work. It also has Steven Spielberg as an executive producer and A NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM‘s Shawn Levy at the helm.
