Based on a graphic novel series, Syfy’s new Wednesday-night series HAPPY! chronicles what happens when a little girl’s imaginary flying unicorn friend (the animated creature is voiced by Patton Oswalt) seeks out the child’s ex-cop hitman father Nick Sax (played by Christopher Meloni) to rescue her from a kidnapper. Developed by Grant Morrison and Brian Taylor, HAPPY! is surreal, funny and very violent. Eric Stange (pronounced STANG-ee) created EDGAR ALLAN POE: BURIED ALIVE, which premieres on PBS as part of the network’s AMERICAN MASTERS series on Monday, October 30, appropriately the day before Halloween. EDGAR ALLAN POE: BURIED ALIVE has an unconventional format, with Denis O’Hare (a Tony-winning actor who is also a veteran of AMERICAN HORROR STORY and TRUE BLOOD) portraying the tortured author. DANCING WITH THE STARS: Movie Night had lots of flips and turns along with a double elimination to cap off the night, but not before a dance off between the six lower scoring couples. Normani Kordei & Val Chmerkovskiy scored a perfect score for their Argentine Tango which gave them immunity from the dance off. In the end bachelor Nick Viall & Peta Murgatroyd and Nancy Kerrigan & Artem Chigvintsev were voted off the show. Five couples remain, stay tuned.
