In THE CRAZY ONES, premiering on CBS Thursday, September 26 at 9 PM, Robin Williams and Sarah Michelle Gellar play father/daughter owners of a major advertising agency. Simon Roberts (Williams) comes up with off-the-wall last-minute ideas, such as in the pilot, when he decides that Kelly Clarkson will make a great singing pitch-woman for McDonald’s, even when Clarkson (playing herself) insists on making the song considerably more sultry than necessary to sell Big Macs. The festival, which is held at the Saban Theater in Beverly Hills, had a line of fans of the show all the way down the street. Soap fans were obviously upset that ABC cancelled their long-running daytime soaps ALL MY CHILDREN and ONE LIFE TO LIVE, and that’s extended to the promise of boycotting the reality shows replacing them on ABC’s daytime schedule.
