The ten-episode first season of Hulu’s THE HANDMAID’S TALE, now available its entirety, has been nominated for eleven primetime Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Drama Series (update: it won). Adapted from Margaret Atwood’s novel, THE HANDMAID’S TALE takes place in a near-future where no women have autonomy, and those few who are fertile are forced to be “handmaids,” childbearers for sterile upper-class couples.
