Marvel Studios in association with Paramount Pictures and Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures recently held the World Premiere of Marvel’s THE AVENGERS at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood. Shutting down Hollywood Boulevard from Highland to Orange, fans lined both sides of the street to see the stars arrive for the most anticipated movie event of the year. Screen Gems and Spyglass Entertainment held The World Premiere of THE VOW on February 6th at the Grauman’s Chinese Theater in Hollywood. On February 2nd, New Line Cinema held the Los Angeles Premiere of JOURNEY 2: THE MYSTERIOUS ISLAND, a Contrafilm Production at the Grauman’s Chinese Theater in Hollywood. The fans that lined Hollywood Boulevard screamed loudly when Vanessa Hudgens and Dwayne Johnson arrived. THE MUPPETS showed up in Hollywood recently to celebrate the World Premiere of their movie THE MUPPETS from Disney at the El Capitan Theatre. Sweetums was the first to walk down the green carpet to greet all the press. Followed by Kermit, Fozzie Bear, Animal, Rowlf and Walter in a black Chrysler Jeep Wrangler, who was a sponsor and then Miss Piggy rode up in a Silver Chrysler convertible smiling at all the press. DreamWorks Animation held the Los Angeles Premiere of PUSS IN BOOTS on October 23rd at the Regency Theater in Westwood. Closing the street where the theater is located, the “beige” carpet, had backdrops that looked like sets from the film. Costumed PUSS IN BOOTS and Kitty Softpaws walked the carpet, plus before the premiere started Spanish dancers came down the carpet. DreamWorks Pictures held the World Premiere of REAL STEEL on October 2nd at the Gibson Amphitheatre, Universal Citywalk in Universal City. On the Citywalk stage two of the robots stood for people to take pictures with. REAL STEEL is set in the near future where 2000 lb. robot fighters have replaced humans in the boxing rings. As usual, fans lined the street and some lucky fans were put near us on the black carpet. Screaming as the stars arrived…the loudest for TWILIGHT heartthrob and star of the movie Taylor Lautner. Disney•Pixar held the World Premiere of CARS 2 at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood on June 18th. Hollywood Boulevard was transformed into the World Grand Prix between Highland and Orange. Life-Size remote-controlled cars of Lightning McQueen, Mater and Finn McMissile came down the black carpet, which looked like a racetrack. The backdrop was so cool as, like the movie, cars looked liked they were sitting in the stands. The press section was built on a riser so we looked down onto the carpet.
