TCA News: CBS addresses (briefly) its lawsuit against THE GLASS HOUSE

With the high profile lawsuit between CBS and ABC regarding their BIG BROTHER rip-off THE GLASS HOUSE resulting in that series still allowed to air, CBS Entertainment President Nina Tassler  briefly touched upon that copycat series at today’s Summer 2012 TCA CBS Press Tour and why it was necessary to protect their intellectual property with BIG BROTHER. “[The lawsuit] is on-going, so I can’t discuss it right now,” says Tassler. “The message needs to be communicated though that we’re incredibly protective of our brands and creative infra-structure of the shows themselves.” Related: MORE NEWS AND INTERVIEWS FROM THE SUMMER TCA’S […]Read On »

With GLEE entering its fourth season with storylines set in Ohio and New York, Fox Entertainment President Kevin Reilly reveals this new structure has worked out quite nicely with the three scripts he’s read so far. “I’m very happy with how seamless it is,” says Reilly. “There is a thematic linkage between the two. I think it’s going to be an event for fun for the audience not knowing who is going to show up when. Breaking News: CBS announces DANCING ON THE STARS show in fake press release

If it were April 1st, we’d think this was a pretty funny April Fool’s joke on behalf of CBS, but it’s June 20, and frankly it’s still funny. CBS has just put out a press release touting  their “supposedly” new shows DANCING ON THE STARS where celebrities dance on the grave of dead celebrities and a comedy called POST-MODERN FAMILY (which are plays on the ABC series DANCING WITH THE STARS and MODERN FAMILY.
