THE SHERWOOD ORACLE is a boxed set of book, cards and map. Co-created by Mark Ryan and John Matthews, with artwork by Anne Yvonne Gilbert, this is an oracle deck rather than a tarot deck, although there are similarities. Ryan has already co-created two highly popular tarot decks, THE WILDWOOD TAROT, also in collaboration with Matthews, with artwork by Will Worthington, and THE GREENWOOD TAROT, in collaboration with artist Chesca Potter. THE WILDWOOD TAROT book

Mark Ryan does all sorts of things. On stage, he was in the original London production of EVITA, first as Magaldi, then as Che and more recently, he toured with Eric Idle in ERIC IDLE EXPLOITS MONTY PYTHON. On television, he starred as the Merry Man Nasir in three seasons of HTV’s ROBIN OF SHERWOOD (the first two seasons are now out on Blu-ray from Acorn).
