Wealthy Siobhan invited Bridget to New York, then faked her own death. With Zack Snyder directing and Christopher Nolan producing, excitement for the new Superman movie reboot MAN OF STEEL couldn’t be higher. Then, Warner Bros. sneaks this first look of actor Henry Cavill as Superman, and well, it’s pretty freakin’ cool. The ghost of Christopher Reeve and near lookalike Brandon Routh is giving way for a more modern caped crusader. THE DARK KNIGHT RISES, the conclusion of  the Christopher Nolan directed BATMAN series, kicked off shooting this week. And Warner Bros. just released the first official image from the production featuring Tom Hardy as the villainous Bane (you can check it out below). Michael Shannon hired for SUPERMAN: MAN OF STEEL to play General Zod

Now that the heroes have almost all been cast for the new Superman movie reboot MAN OF STEEL (which is what Warner Bros. is now officially calling the film ), it’s time to move on to casting the villains. Today, Warner Bros. announced that REVOLUTIONARY ROAD and HBO’s BOARDWALK EMPIRE star Michael Shannon will take on the role of General Zod originally made famous by Terence Stamp in Richard Donner’s 1978 original SUPERMAN and 1981’s SUPERMAN II. It’s a given there’s a lot of excitement and anticipation surrounding Zack Snyder’s reboot of SUPERMAN alongside producer Christopher Nolan. And the announcement that Henry Cavill is the new Superman/Clark Kent brings with it a whole other level of mystery. What is it with these big news announcements on Sunday? Oh well, when it comes to SUPERMAN: MAN OF STEEL, we’ll accept these super news items any time. Looks like THE FIGHTER and ENCHANTED actress will be taking on the role of Lois Lane and it couldn’t be a better choice. She’s got sass and vulnerability which makes her perfect for this Zack Snyder directed reboot. She will star opposite Henry Cavill who plays Clark Kent aka Superman. Source: Hollywood Reporter

The Zack Snyder directed SUPERMAN: MAN OF STEEL movie added another person to its cast according to THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER – Kevin Costner. The actor will play Jonathan Kent, Clark Kent’s adoptive father. Costner will play opposite Henry Cavill as the Man of Steel himself while Diane Lane will be Martha Kent.
