It’s all over but the shouting! Hines Ward and Kym Johnson are the champions of DANCING WITH THE STARS – Season 12! It was no big surprise that Ward won. He had a huge fan base and the judges loved him. What was surprising is that Kirstie Alley edged out Chelsea Kane for second place even though Kane had five points on Alley. DWTS: The Finale had a great opening to an incredibly long and suspenseful show. Well, it’s almost over.  Season 12 of DANCING WITH THE STARS has been a very sporadic, entertaining year with many people taking turns at being the front runner. Alas, it all came to an end in a very anti-climatic manner. None of the freestyles were mind blowing and yet the judges gave Hines Ward and Chelsea Kane perfect 30s, almost like it was expected. Kirstie Alley fared as well, no better, as she did in the semi finals with a 27 for her freestyle – still never achieving a perfect 30, meaning her chances of winning are almost nonexistent. A DANCING WITH THE STARS miracle will have to happen tomorrow night for Ralph Macchio to escape elimination, yet again! He brought his sexy mojo – pimp style – to the dance floor and the judges rejected him! So, the semi finals are over, the votes are tallying in and soon we will know who will be in the DANCING WITH THE STARS Season 12 finals.  Two dances were done tonight plus a Cha Cha Cha winner takes all, which Chelsea Kane won, grabbing her an additional 15 judges’ points! A DANCING WITH THE STARS miracle will have to happen tomorrow night for Ralph Macchio to escape elimination during Week 8 of Season 12. A miracle far greater than the one he just accomplished by dancing The Viennese Waltz and an “Insta’ Dance” Cha Cha Cha on a bum knee. With his knee injury peeking last Friday, it wasn’t even known whether or not Macchio was going to dance at all tonight, let alone get through it, until right before showtime. In an action-packed two-hour episode stretched out far more than necessary, the seventh week of DANCING WITH THE STARS – Season 12 celebrates the ballroom greats this week with guest judge Donnie Burns, one of the most decorated dancers ever, while esteemed professional dancers Shirley Ballas (yes, Mark’s mom) and Luca Baricchi gave pointers to the remaining six couples during rehearsals.
