DreamWorks Pictures held the World Premiere of REAL STEEL on October 2nd at the Gibson Amphitheatre, Universal Citywalk in Universal City. On the Citywalk stage two of the robots stood for people to take pictures with. REAL STEEL is set in the near future where 2000 lb. robot fighters have replaced humans in the boxing rings. DreamWorks Animation held the Los Angeles Premiere of KUNG FU PANDA 2 at the Mann’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood on May 22nd. They had a huge before party with games and food that the stars and guests attended. Each attendee was giving a black gift bag filled with stuff, although I’m not sure what was in the bag! Fans lined the open area opposite from the press to get autographs and take pictures, and waited until Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt arrived; which since Jolie and Pitt love their fans, they signed many autographs. Disney held the World Premiere of PROM at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood on April 21st.  Most of the stars and the guests wore prom dresses and tuxedos as they walked the red carpet. The women were given on check-in wrist corsages and the men a label corsage. Disney had requested that the guests bring a gently worn prom or special occasion dress to donate to LA’s Prom Closet, which is a 100% volunteer nonprofit organization dedicated to helping young women in high school attend their senior prom by providing students new and used gowns for FREE. Tri Star Pictures and ,held the Los Angeles World Premiere of SOUL SURFER at the ArcLight Cinerama Dome on March 30th. The carpet and backdrop was blue like the ocean with a spot that had sand and surfboards.  SOUL SURFER is the true story of teen surfer Bethany Hamilton (portrayed by AnnaSophia Robb), who lost her arm in a shark attack. Her horrific story was covered by news media worldwide, but through her determination and faith this amazing girl became a champion once again and beat all odds that were against her.
