Paramount Pictures recently held the Los Angeles Premiere of STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood. The TCL Chinese, where normally premieres are held is shut down for the summer for remodeling. Closing Hollywood Boulevard from Highland to Orange to accommodate the fans for this next installment in the STAR TREK Universe. Fans were everywhere hanging over the railings in the Hollywood/Highland Complex, besides in the bleachers overlooking the gray carpet and on both sides of the street. Anchor Bay Films recently held a Special Friends and Fans Screening of THE LORDS OF SALEM at the AMC BURBANK 16 in Burbank, CA. It was a late premiere with arrivals starting at around 9 pm. and the carpet was located by the entrance to the theatre. Dimension Films presented the premiere of SCARY MOVIE V on April 11th at the Cinerama Dome, Hollywood. It was a very crowded carpet full of electronic press and photographers, and they put photographers in two sections. Landing up standing by the glass doors to the theater a lot of the stars did not stop or were in a hurry to get inside, so most of us in that section shot whomever we could get to stop. Recently Warner Bros. Consumer Products and Junk Food Clothing held an event at Meltdown Comics in Hollywood for the launch of products inspired by the 1960’s BATMAN CLASSIC TV Series. The BATMOBILE was parked in front of the store where Adam West posed when he first arrived. Some of the stars took turns posing in the car. Recently Warner Bros. Pictures held the World Premiere of THE INCREDIBLE BURT WONDERSTONE at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. On March 15th Barnes and Noble held a book signing with Stephenie Meyer for her new book THE HOST, which opens as a movie on March 29th nationwide. Fans lined up from the early morning hours and the line went through Barnes and Noble through The Grove and around the corner where the American Girl Store is and ended in front of the Wood Ranch Restaurant. Open Road Films held the World Premiere for THE HOST on March 19th at the ArcLight Hollywood Cinerama Dome. Fans were across from where I shot, and on risers and over by the door of the theatre. Subway gave sandwiches out to all the media, fans, stars and everyone else that walked the carpet. T-shirts were handed out to the fans as they waited patiently to get a picture with their favorites and an autograph.
