In NBC’s new Wednesday-night series REVERIE, premiering May 30, Sendhil Ramamurthy’s character Paul Hammond has created a virtual reality application that allows users to develop their own perfect worlds. The problem is that some users find it so fulfilling that they refuse to leave virtual reality, which puts their flesh-and-blood bodies at risk. Enter former hostage negotiator Mara Kint, who can be put into the Reverie experiences of others and attempt to talk them back into returning to the real world. Warner Bros. Pictures held the World Premiere recently for MAGIC MIKE at the Regal Cinemas L.A. Live in Los Angeles, as the closing night gala of the 2012 Los Angeles Film Festival. MAGIC MIKE makes me think of Chippendale’s, where male strippers dressed in costume and performed for women of all ages, as the patrons screamed and stuffed money into the pants of the strippers…and no men were allowed in!
