Actress Lucy Fry is hanging out with fellow performer Emily Hampshire at a party thrown for networks under the CBS umbrella, including Pop TV. Fry is on Pop’s new thriller series WOLF CREEK and Hampshire is on Pop’s returning comedy SCHITT’S CREEK. When Hampshire mentions that she’s heard Pop also runs episodes of DAWSON’S CREEK, there are some general “creek” jokes before the talk turns to work. When writer/director Greg McLean’s feature film WOLF CREEK premiered in 2005, it was too brutal even for some horror fans. McLean’s tale, based on some actual incidents, centers of on Mick Taylor (John Jarratt), a sadistic serial killer roaming the Australian Outback, beyond the reach of law enforcement. WOLF CREEK 2 debuted in 2013, with Mick once again torturing trapped tourists; one of Mick’s victims survives but is blamed for the killings and is confined to a mental hospital.
