In FX’s THE BASTARD EXECUTIONER, Tuesdays at 10 PM, we’re in 14th-century Wales, where soldier-turned freedom fighter-turned executioner Wilkin Brattle (Lee Jones) is caught up in political intrigue. One of the chief engineers of the political chess-playing is Chamberlain Milus Corbett, played by Stephen Moyer. Created by Kurt Sutter (SONS OF ANARCHY), EXECUTIONER shoots in Wales. In THE BASTARD EXECUTIONER, now in its first season on FX Network Tuesdays at 10 PM, Lee Jones plays Wilkin Brattle. Wilkin is a soldier in fourteenth-century Wales who wants a peaceful village life, but a combination of personal catastrophe and an apparently supernatural message cause him to accept a position as traveling executioner under the command of scheming politician Milus Corbett (Stephen Moyer). Kurt Sutter created SONS OF ANARCHY, the biker crime drama with themes from HAMLET that wrapped its seven-season run on FX last year. Now Sutter is back at FX with THE BASTARD EXECUTIONER, premiering its Tuesday-night 10 PM run on September 15 with a double episode. THE BASTARD EXECUTIONER is set in northern Wales in the 14th century.
