Created by Jenna Bans & Bill Krebs, the new dramedy GROSSE POINTE GARDEN SOCIETY jumps back and forth in time to reveal how four volunteers of the title organization – wealthy Birdie (Melissa Fumero), real estate agent Catherine (Aja Naomi King), landscaper Brett (Ben Rappaport), and high school teacher Alice (AnnaSophia Robb) – wind up having to bury a body together in the dead of night. LEGACIES, now on The CW Thursday night in its second season, is created by Julie Plec. The series, a spinoff of THE VAMPIRE DIARIES and THE ORIGINALS, is about the Salvatore Academy, a private high school where young witches, vampires, werewolves and other supernaturally-inclined teens can study without having to hide their true identities. The CW’s new Thursday-night series LEGACIES is a spin-off of both THE VAMPIRE DIARIES, which ran on the network for eight years, and that series’ spin-off THE ORIGINALS, which concluded its five-season run in May. In LEGACIES, Hope Mikaelson (Danielle Rose Russell), the daughter of the late vampire/werewolf hybrid Klaus and granddaughter of a witch, is one of the first enrollees at the Mystic Falls, Virginia Salvatore School for the Young and Gifted.
