Shawn Ryan is doing well right now.  One series he executive-produces and co-created (with Aaron Rahsaan Thomas), CBS’s Thursday night drama S.W.A.T., has officially been picked up for its second season. Another series Ryan executive-produces and co-created (with Eric Kripke), NBC’s time-travel series TIMELESS, is now in its second season on Sunday nights – after originally having been canceled following its first season last year. Shawn Ryan created the multi-award-winning police drama THE SHIELD, which ran for seven seasons on FX. He followed this up with a number of other series set in the worlds of law enforcement and the military. Now Ryan has teamed up with Eric Kripke (who created SUPERNATURAL) for NBC’s TIMELESS, Mondays at 10 PM. In NBC’s new Monday night series TIMELESS, time is of the essence. Historian Lucy Preston (Abigail Spencer), military man Wyatt Logan (Matt Lanter) and scientist Rufus Carlin (Malcolm Barrett) travel through time trying to prevent rogue operative Garcia Flynn (Goran Visnjic) from changing the future by tampering with the past.
