Melissa Leo won a Supporting Actress Oscar for her work in THE FIGHTER as Alice Ward, the real-life mother of prize fighter Mickey Ward, played in the film by Mark Wahlberg. Alice is a tough customer, which describes many of the characters played by the New York-born Leo, including her Baltimore police detective in five seasons of HOMICIDE: LIFE ON THE STREETS and her New Orleans flood survivor Toni Bernette in HBO’s TREME. “Tough” is perhaps the mildest way to refer to Leo’s Nurse Pam on Fox’s WAYWARD PINES, Thursdays at 9 PM. Louie C.K. in LOUIE - Season 2 | ©2012 FX

Stars: Louie C.K. Writer: Louie C.K. Director: Louie C.K. Network: FX, Thursday nights Airdate: July 7, 2012 The second episode of the third season of LOUIE once again proves why the show is so brilliant and dry, weird and strangely honest. “Telling Jokes / Set Up” begins with Louie sitting around the table with his kids (his TV kids that is) and seeing how his young girls have their own ability to tell silly jokes that are quite funny in their own way. The full list of winners are below … Best Picture Iain Canning, Emile […]Read On »
